Baja, Mexico Insights – Sailing Stuff

IMG_1653Passages - Light wind through the trip made sailing virtually impossible. So the iron genny was working overtime. Breeze tended to build a bit in late afternoon when there was wind. Navigation was straight forward not many reefs to negotiate.

Anchorages – Sandy bottom. Easy to anchor in 15 ft (5 m). Almost all anchorages were well protected. We had little to no insect problems.

Notes:
  • Moorings outfit their boats with a snubber line to take stress off the anchor chain making sleeping that much more comfortable.
