A return to the cruising grounds of my first Dalmatian trip, this one week bareboat charter organized by my friends Lisa and Marcello was focused on exploring nature. We revisited the Kornati National park and added Telascica Marine Sanctuary on the southern tip of O. Dugi. The KRK falls is easily acccessible from this starting point.
This was a last minute decision for me as the call to sail yet again in Croatia just couldn’t be missed. In addition to the above park stops, our July 2009 voyage took us to the islands of Drivenka Vela, Zut, Murter, Tijat, and a stunning last night anchored off of Primosten.
The weather was perfect without a cloud until our last evening which only made sunset pictures that much more enchanting. The wind came up every afternoon from the northwest providing us with some great sailing, then dying in the evening for a restful night at anchor. This was truly the most perfect week “sailing’ we had ever encountered in Croatia.
